Hi Friends 👋,
I recently found that I confuse some people by sharing Ideas and then not immediately acting upon them.
For example the last weeks I talked about my idea to work 100h a week for an extended time, whereas currently my productive time is probably around half that number.
Another example is that I imagined an alternative entrepreneurial journey for myself where I focus on language rather than AI. After sharing my thoughts with a person, they asked when I would start and what that would mean for my current AI project.
Even when I am mentioning several times that I am talking about ideas, it is apparently difficult for some people to distinguish thought and action, and frankly speaking that puts me in a conundrum, because sharing and talking about my ideas is important for me to develop them and get feedback, but on the other hand I hate to do it if I know that it confuses people. Right now I think I’ll just keep confusing people if it’s unavoidable, and perhaps at some point they will know that my ideas are just ideas.
Last month I came across this video from Leila Hormozi where she talks about breaking the link between thought and action (although in a different context). She introduces an interesting exercise where she asks you to walk in a circle while at the same time you say that you can’t walk in a circle. That makes it very obvious that thought and action don’t have to be the same.
A somewhat related idea is that actions can also be split to some degree from emotions and feelings (to some degree). If I really don’t want to start coding to build my AI Chatbot I can still just force myself to do it. If I hate getting up at 5am I can still just force myself to do it.
A nice trick here for me is to mentally contrast what I want in the moment and what would be the good thing to do for me from a rational perspective. Whenever I make that direct comparison I can’t bare it to take the short term gratification and will do what I should. (I should add that at this point in my life I don’t always make that comparison, so I still end up doing many things I shouldn’t)
Alright that’s it again for this week! Warm greetings from London 🇬🇧, where I am about to go watch the Napoleon Movie.

Still no videos as I was busy with Python. I now finished the Harvard CS50 Python Course.
🧱 I got the bricks and built my 2024 expansion for my monthly relationship showcase. Looking forward to fill this next year, perhaps I’ll make a video again at some point. Here is my old one from half a year ago.

Hi everyone This week I spent 5 days at the Planungswoche Lehrer organisieren ihren Schulstart (LoS) offered by the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz in Windisch. The program as a whole was really good and provided a lot of insights that will help a lot when I start teaching my class in just 4 weeks. In this newsletter I share some of the insights I gained during that week. I’ll cover my top three learnings as a teacher, as well as three potential issues I identified I need to stay aware about....
Hi everyone Last week I wrote about how I became a teacher. Since then, I also officially signed my contract and got my school laptop and keys. It’s just 5 weeks until I’ll stand in front of my class, so now it’s time to get ready. In this week’s newsletter I’m sharing some more thoughts about what I am doing and why. I’ll split this in 4 parts: Teaching goals, classroom management, class content, and everything else. Teaching Goals From my perspective, everything starts with the question of...
Hey everyone This may be a surprise, but starting in August I’m going to work an ~80% job as a middle school teacher at a nearby local school in Hägendorf. In this newsletter I’ll share how that happened, what’s going to happen next, and also what that means for my previous entrepreneurial projects and the rest of my life. Let’s get started. Becoming a Teacher After coming back from China on May 8, I took a break for a few days and then did some AI-related work for a previous client. However,...
